Description
Summary This is an algorithmically generated, 3D fractal shape. A geometric curiosity. Print Settings Supports: Yes Resolution: .1mm or .2mm Infill: 20 Notes: I successfully printed this on an Anycubic i3 Mega, sliced with Cura. I used auto generated supports at about 70 degrees. I did have a bit of trouble with the first row of downward pointing 'petals', but corrected it by generated denser supports and a slightly cooler extrusion Temp. How I Designed This Created using Mandelbulb 3D, meshlab, and ZBrush. Somewhat date utorial avaialbe here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Create-a-3D-printed-3D-fractal/
Instructions This is a fun, curious shape, intended for 3D printing. I'm currently working on a tutorial that explains how to use a handful of free apps to create an endless variety of similar shapes. I don't have my own 3D printer, which makes it difficult to test my process. :)
