The tire track is based on his tires from the HOT ROD JAKOB and also the color scheme of the OpenR/C Formula 1 as you can see. Leif is restoring classic cars as well as designing and building Hot Rods, sports cars and special really unique cars. With a background as a technician at Volvo Research and Development Department in Gothenburg and then six years with development at Koenigsegg, he decided to spend all his time with his own company and to develop and manufacture his own cars in small series. Check him out here: http://www.caresto.se/ HOT ROD JAKOB is Caresto´s way of combining the classical original Volvo Jakob from 1927 with modern technology and design into a Hot Rod of today. This car was built to celebrate Volvos 80 years anniversary. After documenting the original in detail, Caresto had the "Hot Rod of the Year" and "Most Innovative Car" award in mind for the HOT ROD JAKOB. The car attended in the Elmia exhibition 2009 and today you can find the car at Volvos Museum in Gothenburg. HOT ROD JAKOB has also been featured in many magazines since 2009. More info about the HOT ROD JAKOB can be found here http://www.caresto.se/cargallery/jakob.html ‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾‾ In the pics I have used PI-ETPU 95-250 Carbon Black ( http://rubber3dprinting.com/ ). Use the rims found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1103751 Enjoy! PI-ETPU 95-250 Carbon Black is a professional 3D printer flexible and conductive filament Don´t need the conductivity? Well the conductivity is great for some things but perhaps not your first choice? Then consider this: This filament will give you some really nice benefits if the conductivity is not an disadvantage for your 3D printed design: •The material composition eliminates “stringing / webbing” issues. •The hardness of 95 shore A and the carbon black filler makes for great print abilities. •The carbon black filler is an excellent UV stabilizer thus the prints are built to last in very harsh environments. •The matte black surface finish has a very exclusive look. •The material feels very nice and dry to touch. •The elongation at break is only 250%. http://rubber3dprinting.com/ http://palmiga.com/ Follow me on Instagram and/or twitter: http://instagram.com/rubber3dprinting https://twitter.com/rubber3dprint For more info regarding release of the F1 car and also the other Open-RC project head over in this direction: http://danielnoree.com/ For OpenR/C Formula 1 print-files (after release) go here: https://pinshape.com/users/18846-danielnoree https://grabcad.com/library/openr-c-1-10-formula-1-car-1 For my designs check out http://www.thingiverse.com/Palmiga/designs & https://www.instagram.com/rubber3dprinting/ Due to the nature of 3D printing / material used etc...
