Summary Launched in 2007, Dawn's goal is to characterize the conditions and processes of the solar system's earliest history by investigating in detail two of the largest protoplanets remaining intact since their formation, Ceres and Vesta. Print and build your own model, then launch and explore the solar system. Xenon propellant not included. Based on NASA/JPL 3D model from http://nasa3d.arc.nasa.gov/detail/jpl-vtad-dawn Photo of completed model in gallery was printed at 2x.scale. Instructions Print one body, instrument panel, antenna, and main engine ring. Print three ion engines. Print two solar panel booms. Print ten solar panels (or for extra credit use actual solar panels or fabricate these from carbon fiber sheet). Glue the flat side of the instrument panel to the flat end of the body and the rest of the parts as shown in the illustration.
