The part is a bit bulkier than it needs to be, but it was designed to print well, it's solid and will hold your iPhone securely. If you don't have this Thule case, this will not work for you. But this case is highly recommended, well worth owning if you need a case anyway.

It is most secure when mounted on the center of the camera as it is widest at the center, but will be still usable if you only push the mount about 20mm up from the bottom.
