Description
Summary Update: after checking the scale it is actually closer to 1/10 scale. maybe a little larger. Update: 11/23/2017 Added spark plugs, LS3 coils, Coil boot and spark plug boot. Coil Boots may have to enlarged depending on your printer settings. Spark plug boot is mis-labeled. the 90 degree boot goes to the plugs as seen in the pictures. 1/10 scale Camaro LS3 motor. this is a scaled down version of ericthepoolboy's 1/3 scale motor. The 1/10 scale down was initally done by Novel Mutations and redesigned by me to use 623 (10x3x4mm) bearings and 1.5mm screws. Screws can be sourced from www.rc4wd.com, ebay, or amazon. Most of the 1.5 screws I used was 1.5x 3mm (covers and surface screws, 6mm (crank bearing caps side bolts and Crank spacers), 8mm (crank), and 10mm (flywheel). Bearings were sourced from here https://www.banggood.com/10pcs-623ZZ-3x10x4mm-Ball-Bearings-Shielded-Radial-Bearings-p-1049663.html?rmmds=myorder&cur_warehouse=CN 1x2mm Neodymium magnets hold all the parts together. I found them on ebay. The drive motor was sourced from a old HS-645 MG servo I had lying around. The drive gear is simply pushed on with a little CA glue. Cams have to be printed with full support and bearing mounts need to be filed and sanded when done for a flush fit I used #18 brad nails and CA glue to assemble the cam. The Air filter is printed out of TPU and is secured with a indent on the Air filter throttle body. It you are going to use PLA you migh have to file off the indent on the airfilter. This is not a easy build. Expect to file, sand, shave, alter, and drill to make this build a working build. All the lifter holes have to be ported and the push rod holes have to be sized to what you are going to use. the pistons and the cylinders have to be sanded smooth.
