Description

Summary Since all my fellow Makers on Twitter have been designing and printing their own Makercoins, I thought I would get in on the fun with my own version. The character on it is the ancient, Large Seal script version of zuò (作). In this case it means "to do". The coin is printed at .15mm with a bronze-fill like filament (it does not really polish up as much as the real stuff) tumbled with stainless steel pins for three hours, then rubbed with steel wool before polishing with Brasso (thanks to @Barnacules for the detailed tutorial). Wear thick gloves since the steel wool and chemicals are really harsh. Print Settings Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .15 Infill: 15%
