Description
SummaryMaking this bad boy on my CNC mill. I am slicing it up and going to make a good 18" model. It will take a handful of work. Made the model in Blender, exported it as a .stl. I am going to slice it up into 2" thick slices to cut on the mill, but it is all very custom. I could post the sliced files, but they would just confuse most people. InstructionsI took some reference pictures and files of MLP of Rainbow Dash being Rainbow Dash... I started playing around in Blender making this model and spent a while cleaning it up. After that I imported it into Autodesk Inventor to do slicing and other geometric things for mill working. I would have made this model a higher surface resolution, but converting .stl to .step file uses up tons of space. I think the .stl file is over 300MB on my computer in a .step file. If I did another subsurf on this, it would have been much larger. As I provide the .blend file, have a blast boosting the resolution. If you want to make this work on a 3D pritner, well, may want to change the orientation and you will need support material. Play around with the .blend file too if you want to modify it. Enjoy!
