3D PRINTING PARAMETERS
print preferably all the parts on the same printer in order to have a better conservation of dimensions. Some pieces may require 5 to 6 hours of printing The modeling was tested on an i3 with a 0.4mm nozzle. Imperative first layer at 0.3mm and must be even on the entire printing surface (desired autoleveling) layer height 0.2 mm for large pieces. 0.1 or 0.15 mm for small parts. No support needed. 15% filling if necessary. 0% on the thin walls. Brim imperative on the thin walls. Thickness of edges for thin pieces at 0.4mm (one nozzle passage) edge thickness for other parts at 0.8 or 1.2 mm
for UNITED STATES brands of RP1 tanks:
the printing will be done in two steps : - printing upside down white backgrounds without outline. - then, without removing the part from the bed, print upside down red letters inside without any outline.
The final rendering will be a UNITED band (or STATES) red on a white background, in one piece of 0.3 mm thick smooth read side.
To do this, in the slicing software, use the print marks of the STL ("v" markers) to position the position of the two models in the same place (the two points of the marks on the same grid mark of the slicer). In addition, the "v" markers will be placed closest to the home of the printer so that the print starts with the markers to purge the nozzle.
