Lithophane clip for a C7 Christmas light

Prints (0)

Description

For my Children's Hospital Christmas Tree Project I wanted to hang lithophanes from the Christmas tree. With this clip, you can!

To make your lithophane:

  • Drag a picture into Cura
  • Base 0.8
  • Height 2.7
  • Width to 70
  • Dark is Higher/Light is lower

Then print it out and slip it in. You want the lithophane to hang down. The cap will snap on after to keep everything looking good. Trim off any excess.

Do you happen to know the settings for this to use with a 3dp.rocks lithophane? I really love this style but I'm still pretty new to all this and am trying to stick with stuff I can just type in for settings right now.

As long as the total thickness is 3.5mm and the width is 70, you're good.

For some reason, the .stl files, when dropped into Cura 4.8.0, will not rotate. When selecting the rotate button, the circles on the model show up, but when you try to select one, they disappear and the model is deselected immediately. The cap does not print well without being able to rotate it and put the solid side down rather than the two legs of the groove down, as the file is when downloaded. Any idea what to do here? Also, do you have a clip design that fits the much more common mini-Christmas lights? TIA
