Description
3D Z3R0-G $CR^BBL3
This WIP is a 3-Dimensional Scrabble concept for Zero-G Environments (includes special characters for L337 $p3||!n9).
The Cutouts on the sides of the Tiles represent the Points for that Tile.
!'m still working out various Game Mechanics and Potentials E.g Consonant Cubes + Vowel Cubes + Mixed Cubes + Special Functions/Cubes and More, as well as working on a One-G version for playing here on Earth.
( This version of 3d Scrabble is designed for use in a zero gravity environment as such the magnets used in this version are unlikely to be strong enough to hold everything together under the weight of Earth's gravity, Soz.)
3D Z3R0-G $CR^BBL3 has been designed for close to Zero post-processing, you don't want to have to deal with chemical fumes, unnecessary/excessive debris or particulate matter in a Closed Environment.
Until stated otherwise, ! will be making regular updates on this project so remember to check back here occasionally.
Standard Number of Alphabet CUBES:
A x3 - B x1 - C x2 - D x 3 - E x3 - F x2 - G x3 - H x2 - I x3 - J x1 - K x1 - L x3 - M x2
N x3 - O x3 - P x2 - Q x1 - R x3 - S x3 - T x3 - U x3 - V x2 - W x2 - X x1 - Y x2 - Z x1
Standard Number of Number CUBES:
1 x2 - 2 x2 - 3 x2 - 4 x2 - 5 x2 - 6 x2 - 7 x2 - 8 x2 - 9 x2 - 0 x2
Standard Number of Special Character CUBES:
@ x1 - [ x2 - ] x2 - { x1 - } x1 - ! x2 - # x2 - | x1 - \ x2 - / x2 - ? x1 - ^ x2
> x2 - < x2 - : x1 - ( x1 - ) x1 - * x2 - + x3 - = x3 - $ x2
Things you need to make this project:
- 684 x 3mm Spherical Neodymium Magnets.
- A 3D Printer.
- 3D Printing Filament.
- Time. Lots of Time.
There should be enough clearance in the cavities for the Magnets to orientate themselves when another magnet draws close.
The Tolerances in the cube's top and bottom cavities are very tight. the trick is to get 2 corners into the cavity first (! managed to assemble mine this way) or very lightly shave the inside edge of the top and bottom cavities.
Number of 3d printed components required to make a complete set:
684 x Tiles
114 x Cubes
