Friction Welding Gauze

Prints (0)

Description

Summary Necessity is the mother of invention. I needed to piece together printed parts of a costume helmet and the epoxy I had on hand wasn't bonding my PLA pieces. I had the idea to take a perforated sheet of PLA along with spot welds to act as a kind of plastic tape. This probably won't hold up to much abuse but it is more permanent/rigid than duct tape, good for test fitting without having panels flop about. Another advantage is, if the need arises, it can be broken off easily to adjust how the parts are fitting together.
