Summary This here is my first bigger project (which means there is more than 100 grams of plastics involved). It was primarily designed for the halloween contest and - of course - for the halloween party I will go to. The costume is called "Wonderland"! It should help you get access to your personal creative sense - or for being the attraction center on a halloween party :) Most parts of what you see are 3D-printed. The cards, the chains, the hat and much more. For a full costume that you can wear outside you actually only need some shoes and a skirt (and maybe a shirt, depending on how cold it is). I would recommend to see this costume more as an art collection of dreamy, playful and colorful objects you can use for your halloween costume. For example, you can just use the hat or the belt. Your descision! Oh and I would recommend not only to color the objects, but also to decorate them with some small jewelry or other little parts. Again: You decide :) In the documentation you see details to every object as well as how I painted and decorated the things. I would strongly recommend to take a look in there before you print something from Wonderland! However I know how boring documentations can be. So for those who don't have time, here are some key facts: Here is what you definately need:
glue (use the right glue, e.g. plastic glue) cord or tie
Here is what you can need:
rubber glitter jewelry (false one of course) color (can be ben, sprays, acrylic or anything) EL wire or LED light sources food and drink (to get some energy during the make)
Oh and every object is designed to be plugged with bolts and glued with ... glue, obviously. They all fit on a 25 x 21 cm printbed without any problem. If there are any issues, just contact me. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 MK2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: see documentation Infill: see documentation Notes: see the documentation (documentation.pdf) for the different print settings If you do not want or have not enough time, just print everything with 350 micron, 5% infill, one perimeter and 2 bottom and 2 top layers. Print will be very fast then, everyhing may be completed in 3 days. I had to do this because of the entry to the halloween contest (last thing was printed 5 hours before the contest closed). However, there will be some quality issues with overhangs. So just... read the documentation and have some time ;) Post-Printing Plug, glue, paint, party! see documentation How I Designed This This project was the trigger for me to learn some new programs. As I am fairly new to 3D printing, I am also new to digital design. However, I more or less successfully managed to learn FreeCAD, Meshmixer and 3D Builder to design the parts of this art costume.
