Chat Noir's Ring

Description

SummaryCosplay accessory inspired in the ring worn by Adrien Agreste when he transforms into Chat Noir, from the animated series Miraculous Ladybug. This model is designed for a 4 1/2 ring size (15.3mm), but it can be easily scaled using your favorite slicer. In my tests, each additional 10% adds 0.25 mm, but this can vary slightly depending on your printer model. If you don't have a printer that supports Dual Extrusion, you can print the file ChatNoirRingDS -Body to make the ring with the paw symbol in bas-relief. Supports are recommended to ensure good quality, but not really needed, as the model will rest on the printer bed and some printers will be able to deal with the overhang required to build the ring's details. If you get a warning telling you that the part is too small and appears to be in inches, don't scale it to millimeter format. Otherwise, the paw will get disproportionately big. It's possible that you'll have to clean the model after printing. This is normal, and a common issue when dealing with complex shapes and dual extrusion. You can use a metal file (like those in swiss army knives) or a scrap of sanding paper. Print SettingsPrinter: FlashForge Creator Pro 2016Rafts: NoSupports: YesResolution: 0.2mmInfill: 20%Notes: This model was successfully printed using Simplify3D's Dual Extrusion Wizard. The paw and the ring's body were designed to align perfectly. My recommended settings for this program are: In the Additions Tab, enable the Ooze Shield option, with a 3.00mm offset, 1 Outline, Waterfall shape. These settings will ensure a clean print. How I Designed ThisI used this picture as the main reference for the model, but I did some slight changes in order to make it more comfortable to wear
