Description

SummaryThis is just a quick design I made for my Vulcanus V1. I wanted to use it with the E3D Titan Extruder and an E3D V6 hotend without replacing the x carriage. So I made a design for the Nema 17 mount and the bowden adapter for the E3D Titan Extruder. What will you need for this? E3D V6 hotend (or any other hotend that will mount on the Vulcanus V1 2016 x carriage) E3D Titan Extruder the printed parts (in ABS) some Acetone (be careful when working with acetone, always wear a respirator) Build your E3D Titan completely first (including the short piece of teflon tube to line up the assembly perfectly), put some aceton on the Nema 17 mount and push it into place. You should not glue the bowden adapter onto the carriage - if you do so, you wont be able to remove the extruder without damaging the carriage. For 1.75 mm Filament you should use a small Nema 17 motor (i.e. 17HS08-1004S) with the gear ratio it has enough torque for extrusion and will work fine (3 x 13 Ncm = 39 Ncm) and your x-carriage will become way lighter. See Thomas Sanladerer's Video for further Information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiAQ9slUZ58 Please ignore my wiring and the full size Nema 17 - the printer is not finished yet ;)
