Description
SummaryUPDATE: By request I made a version compatible with the J-Head hotend for the Prusa-i3. There are two versions posted. The 'A' model has an upper opening to fit 2.0 mm I.D. PTFE and the 'B' model has an upper opening to fit 3.0 mm I.D. PTFE. I don't own a Prusa-i3 or J-Head so I'm basing this on dimensions that I've learned online and by those requesting this change. I hope it works for you. I suspect you will have to adjust the feed rate as the gearing for a direct extruder will be different than the stock extruder. This is a modified version of an E3D v6 Extruder I recently made for the Makergear M2 printer: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:494430 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:495756 This is to respond to a request to make an adaptation of my Makergear design. I don't own the 3D printer that this is designed for so I hope it fits and works well. As aways your feedback is more than welcome.InstructionsThis requires a couple of parts: This was designed for an 625ZZ 5 X 16 X 5 idler bearing. Here is a link to where I've found it cheapest: amazon.com/gp/product/B00HHH4Q9U You will also need a shoulder screw to hold the bearing in place: amazon.com/gp/product/B001P5SKGK Aside from this you will need M3 screws to mount the extruder on the NEMA-17 and an M4 bolt (15 mm) and nut to adjust the tension on the idler.
