Description

SummaryThis printed Hinge is an update and revision of thing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:772303). It uses 1.75mm Filament as hinge pin, has nice strong design with rounded corners, and smooth operation. Has a couple of kerf parameters in the Open SCAD files to adjust the fit, based on how full your printer is printing. The improvements in this revision are a captured pin on one end, to keep a slightly loose hinge pin from migrating down, and an improved hinge radius, for smoother movement right off the printer. It uses a flush mount M3 Flathead machine screw, 10mm length works well with a 3mm panel, and the M3 stress relieving washer thing (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:755320). This hinge is part of an add-on enclosure for a Lulzbot Mini 3D printer. The other parts are up online, and the entire enclosure is available at: http://drazzticaction.com/products-page-2/3dprinters/lulzbot-acrylic-enclosure/ or Enjoy, Jim Rasmussen TabSynth Design Works Madison, WIInstructionsPrinted with standard settings. And it works just fine. Requires 4 M3 x10 machine screws, and four nuts, per hinge. Print out the M3 plastic stress relieving washers to use with acrylic doors.
