Description
Want to keep your filament airtight and dust-free - even if currently printing? Over 500 3D printing heads all over the world already use this filament dry box.
The great advantage of the filament box is the simultaneous storage and readiness for printing with up to 6 filament spools. Simply pull the sealing plug off the PTFE tube, pull out the filament and feed it to your 3D printer. Printing with dry and dust-free filament has never been easier.
In addition to the support of 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm filament, two different variants are available for sealing the PTFE tubes. This means that also long filament guides (PTFE tubes) – right up to the printer – can be rolled up and stored neatly at the box.
For detail print and step-by-step assembly instructions check out the instructions on my website: Assembly instructions of the DIY filament dry box
3D print settings:
For the parts: Rod_Mount, SilicaGel_Carrier and SilicaGel_Plate: Layer height 0.2 mm and 20% infill (rectangular)
All other parts: Layer height 0.2 mm and 100% infill (rectangular)
Total printing time is about 28 hours, approx. 265 g of filament (PETG) is printed.
The largest 3D printed part of this project (SilicaGel_Carrier) requires a base of 166 x 52 mm. Any 3D printer with a build space (X, Y) of at least 170 x 170 mm is suitable.
