Description
I recently searched for a ship cannon to print for a fort but didn’t find any model that could be easy printed and assembled so I upgraded one from grabcad and leave the files here in case someone needs them.
My model is based on < https://grabcad.com/library/hms-victory-12-pound-cannon > with some changes.
The size of the model is a little strange. Maybe something went wrong with import of OPs model. Original (1x) length of the cannon is ~32 mm. You will need to scale it to your size. Printing less than 4x scale would be difficult.
Cannon Muzzle has some errors in it which weren’t relevant for cura slicing. Let me know if it doesn’t work for you (It is a solid body / stl mesh frankenstein).
Parts:
2x - 12P_Cannon_Axle
2x - 12P_Cannon_Axle_Mount
1x - 12P_Cannon_Base
2x - 12P_Cannon_Frontaxle(1)
1x - 12P_Cannon_Frontaxle(2)
2x - 12P_Cannon_Frontwheel
1x - 12P_Cannon_Lift
1x - 12P_Cannon_Muzzle
4x - 12P_Cannon_Pins
2x - 12P_Cannon_Rearaxle(1)
1x - 12P_Cannon_Rearaxle(2)
2x - 12P_Cannon_Rearwheel
5x - 12P_Cannon_Ringhook
Cannon Muzzle can be printet standing with 0 mm brim or raft. All connections are designed as press-fit connections but can also be glued. For press-fit connections I often print small parts like pins or axles triple with +0,1mm and -0,1mm horizontal expansion (aka XY Size Compensation) and then use the most suitable. A postprocessing tipp that I didn’t knew for a long time: use hot air blower or lighter to get out strings or color defects, which has helped a lot with the wood filament in this print
