Description
THE GODDESS MAAT - ANCIENT EGYPTIAN
(The goddess Maat)was represented to the ancient Egyptians "justice", "truth", cosmic order, and "good character".
Maat has been depicted as a deity since the middle of the Old Egyptian Kingdom (2680 to 2190 BC) and The 42 Principles of Maat engraved on the walls:
1- I have not sinned
2- I did not take away other people's property under duress
3- I didn't steal
4- I didn't kill
5- I didn't steal food
6- I did not embezzle the offerings
7- I did not steal the temple property
8- I didn't lie
9- I didn't snatch the food
10 - I didn't curse (I curse)
11- I have not closed my ears from hearing the words of truth
12- I did not fornicate
13- I did not cause others to cry (hurt feelings of others)
14- I didn't cry (grieve) for no reason
15- I did not assault anyone
16- I have not cheated (fooled) anyone
17 - I have not usurped anyone's land
18- I did not eavesdrop (spy) on anyone
19- I did not fabricate a charge for anyone
20- I didn't get angry without a reason
21- I did not seduce anyone's wife
22- I have not polluted my body
23- I did not terrorize anyone
24- I did not break the law
25- I didn't get too angry
26- I didn't curse (insult) nitro
27- I did not use violence against anyone
28- I did not threaten the peace
29- I did not act demagoguery (without thinking)
30- I did not interfere in matters that do not concern me
31- I didn't gossip (gossip)
32 - I Didn't Do Evil
33- I did not emanate from me evil thoughts/words/actions
34- I did not pollute the waters of the Nile
35 - I did not speak with anger or arrogance
36 - I have not cursed anyone with a word or deed
