These would really be great if they were also made without threads to handle just plain wood dowels of 3/4 or 1" diameter. The dowels could be painted to match the expensive black pipe that's now used for Steampunk lamps, etc. Black pipe fitting themselves are getting too expensive for projects like that now that they have become more popular. Thanks so much for the design!
