Description
Summary The Lyman under cabinet Vacuum Sealer was conceived to get the one I had off my bench top. It is out of the way and ready to use. It worked so well I had to make one for the wife, however she insisted that it matched her kitchen oak cabinets. The unit requires about (1) kg of filament for the 3D printed parts. As I extrude my own filament it only cost me about $3.00 for the pellets. My filament is ABS, however I would suggest using PLA filament for better warp control. At the present time to make one you will need an old vacuum sealer, try eBay, FoodSaver Mini Model V240. I made a short video of testing the Sealer and it is on YouTube.http://youtu.be/QKdkHOLEmTM I have added Optional Front and Door Panels stl files and a Revised Construction Manual with these added. Instructions Download the "Construction Manual" which consists of 24 photo's taken as I constructed this sealer. The zip file contains the STL files. After this is published I will test the uploads to verify I got them all. There are 5 parts that have 3 stl files. If the file name shows "split" then the part was split in two (LT left, RT right) to print on a Makerbot Replicate 3D printer, otherwise the third file is used to print on a 12" printer bed. Just added are optional Front and Door Panels along with a revised Manual with these options.
