Lego Prop- Tool Box

Description

This project is an example of a design that one of my students completed for their 3D design challenge. The challenge begins when the students are tasked with designing an object that a lego person can hold. They begins by measuring and sketching. The measurements must be very precise to fit in the lego person's hand. Next they build a prototype using basic art materials. Coffee stir straws are the perfect size for the portion that fist in the lego hand. The students re-measure their prototype and then digitize their design using Tinkercad. Once the design is ready, we print it. They analyze the success of the object and then re-design and build as needed. We print and evaluate as often as time allows.
