is this meant to be in space. if so then you dont need a flight deck on top. its space. so your bridge can go into the middle of the ship and then your weapons can go on the side. this allows you to have guns on either side of the ship for its protection. you will also need more engines say about 4. and then smaller engines for control. a fascinating concept but again. you are thinking of a current carrier in a space application.
