Description

Art sculpture of a roaring lion in low poly + wire frame form. The design is inspired by vigorous beauty of the king of animals.

Recommended settings for FDM/FFF 3d printers:

Layer height: 0.1 - 0.2 mm (100 - 200 microns)

Infill: > 30 %

Supports: yes

Scale to print as BIG as you can.

Notice: The wire-frame part of the model might cause difficult support removal for FDM/FFF 3d printers. The products showed in photos were 3d printed by SLS, SLM 3d printers.

Love the balance between positive and negative space that the wire frame adds - very cool concept. We've added it as one of our featured designs on the homepage!

Well, I thought this design looks really great. Let's go and buy it. But than it was like WHAT?! The printfile (.stl only) consist of 6 shells with holes in it. So you must have to edit the file to make it printable. This sucks

I don't know what you got, but I just purchased it and it's definitely one model; no repairs (seemingly) needed. This is what I got: http://imgur.com/a/WeQHC

Didn't work for me, at the start of the poly it droops and fails everything else

Did you try printing with 100% infill and as thin as 0.1mm (100 microns) layer height? The model is combined by shells and wire-frame, not solid volume. So these settings help consolidate the print during the deposition process.

Would you please try printing it again with above recommended settings? If it's still unsuccessful, please contact me through email: formbytestudio@gmail.com . I'll give you a different model similar to this design as a compensation.
