Here is a ready to print toroidal propeller for your Mercury, Yamaha, Mariner or Tohatsu 2 stroke or 4 stroke 10-20 HK. It will reduce your fuel consumption by up to 30% and the outboard motor noise level is reduced by around 50% as it reduces the Vortexes around the propeller.

Inspired by the Sharrow propeller and the recent MIT toroidal propeller designs.

14 spline shaft design is default but I can adapt it to any shaft.

Only for private use / non commercial.

I printed it on a 20cm x 20cm bed size Prusa MK3S+ myself and it works great, with higher speed at lower RPM and conciderably less fuel consumption!

3D PRINTING SETTINGS

Any FDM printer with a 20x20 cm print plate will work. For extra strength: Print with PC, Nylon, PC carbon or similar high strength material.

PLA will also work! Layer adhesion is important, so experiment with slightly higher than spec nozzle temperatures, especially if using PC carbon.

70% infill or more is recommended

Set automatic support agains printbed and you should be fine

To optimize performance further, you can sand and paint, to make the propeller surface very smooth and more efficient.

And for long trips: print a spare :-)
