Description

Ender 3 V2 Z stop plug clip on cover.

So you fitted a BL touch to your ender 3.  The Z stop was no longer needed so you disconnected the plug from the switch, then what? Did you remove the z stop cable? tuck it away in the main enclosure? tape it up or cable tie it out of the way? Or did you completely forget about it as soon as you disconnected it and now it is just poking up out of the enclosure?  Hide it with this handy dandy 30 minute print. I even added a Z to the front so you won't forget where you put the plug (or maybe remind you that the Pillar is on the Z axis, because seriously? lol).

Joking aside, I originally left mine poking out of the enclosure and just pushed most of the wire into the enclosure to keep it out of the way. I wasn't that bothered about the plug itself until somebody saw the printer for the first time and asked why there was a plug disconnected and was it a problem? Niggled me constantly after that, consequently I designed and printed this small cover for the Z plug.

The ender 3v2 z stop connector comes out of the top of the circuit board enclosure and looked like way too much messing about to delete for little or no reward, never mind having to manhandle the printer and move everything off it (lots of tools hanging off the sides of my printer). A thirty minute print and a five second fitting was definitely the better option.

Print in the same orientation as it will be used, no support needed. Once printed, check the little slot is clear so the cable will slot in.  With the plug and its little collar inside the cover, clip the cover to the V slots using the clips on the rear (obviously). Job done. A nice tidy look, and the cable/plug will always be there in case you need to reconnect the z stop in the future..
