I am a retired combat disabled Marine. Several years ago an veterans organization started sending models, etc. to disabled veterans to help pass the time. After I acquired a few I had my church locate disadvantaged children and gave them away to the kids. The smiles on their faces told the whole story. I have continued that for years and it keeps me busy instead of just sitting in front of the TV. Anyone can get involved in this and when you walk into a house that has not been cleaned in 3 years, smells bad, no father in the picture and you see a child light up like a yard light when you hand them a $5 toy, you will be a lifer just like me.
