Description

I couldn't walk away from this one. I tried, but I came back four times. As you can see, perseverance was key. This model is big and glue together. I'm not sure off hand what scale it is so please do your own maths. Please read the instructions and good luck:) Simonarri on Instagram

As it is, the pieces are made to print on an 8"x10" bed. You'll have to scale up or down to suit your needs. The photo of the tower is a smaller one I printed first. Refer to the image to assemble the pieces. The numbers in front of the names are how many to print of each item. L2sdarmr stands for Large 2 side arm right. For the arms, the models are labeled sd for side and tp for top. There are 3 pieces to make an arm assembly (Left, Middle, and Right) and top or side refer to the position on the model. There are tabs on the frame that spread the arms to the correct width. The bottom of the arms rest on the outsides of these tabs. The insulators assemble into a line of 3 pieces for the longer sets. The 2 insulators hang off the top arms. Add your own wire to hang them. The bridgetop and bridgebottom go in the spaces between the arms. Langle is used to align legs and midlegs. Place one on the inside of the leg straddling the joint where they glue together. You may have to shave the bottoms of the legs a little with an exacto for them to fit in the concrete blocks. I used Weldon 4 to glue my PLA model together.

Thank you Simon. Also good to know that PLA can be solvent welded with Methylene Chloride. I usually print in ABS.

I am trying this for an O scale train layout. Lets see how well it works. I have it .5 scale. Check out Fowlers Dream Layout group on facebook to see the layout

This design is interesting and quite simple. It can be placed at home as a decoration. The effect is pretty good when printed using pla filament. Thank you.
