How do you manage expectations and reality when you move from online communication to offline meetings?

I decided to have a little fun and get online dating. I didn't spend a lot of time looking for the best dating site, but it seems that I made the right choice by registering at https://www.dating.com/ . What made me happy was the fast registration and no additional fees. Formalization of the questionnaire also did not take much time. The only thing that took many hours was to decide to write to someone. I was very stressed because I couldn't choose just one person. All the users on this site are very beautiful and you get lost in the variety. Do you guys meet online?

How romantic. Ugh, it makes me sick. For some reason, in the last few years, anything even remotely related to romance just drives me crazy. Maybe it's because my last girlfriend was super romantic, and we broke up really badly, so now anything that reminds me of her triggers me?

Who knows. Haven’t you gone to a therapist? I think bad breakups should be processed, not just jumping into new relationships or keeping everything inside hoping it’ll just go away. I have friends who, on the same day they break up, can go straight out and start looking for someone to fuck nearby, and for them, it’s totally normal. I don’t judge, but I still think it’s better to sort out one story, close it properly, and then move on.
