Description
You can easily build this airplane in one day and be flying the next day.
Print all the parts ... you can see they're numbered on the parts too except for the six tail pieces, just assemble them per the images.
The air-frame uses 3/16" dowel rods ... my air-frame weighs less than 1/2lb!
The pictures show the dimensions I am using for my build, but you can actually build the air-frame larger or smaller to fit your needs.
Start with the nose and cut the dowel rods to the length you need for the size airplane you want. Be sure to study the different images here to understand the builds.
I figure the best wing is simply Depron foam panels gently folded over to create a symmetrical airfoil which helps to keep the weight down and so allow this giant scale airplane to fly very slow and indoors. Use a dowel rod or two for wing spars.
CA or other glues can glue the dowel rods into the brackets once the air-frame is squared up.
I think covering could be newspaper school glued to the brackets, then spray paint the paper to add stiffness.
Installing the motor, servos, radio and batteries can be done by gluing cardboard on the inside where needed.
The elevator have a control bracket you screw/glue a control horn onto and the bottom bracket on the rudder has a space for a control horn too.
Finally, "Help a US Navy Veteran buy a house" IF I get my GoFundMe campaign fully funded I will make this and other uploaded projects all FREE downloads. All this work is to try and get enough money that I can afford to buy a house and get out of this tiny, crappy apartment.
