Description

Summary My future son in law is working on his MA at the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. He is taking a conducting class and needed a baton. This baton is approximately 14 inches long and breaks down into three pieces. The sections are held together with 3mm machine screws. The handle has a hole in the base for a 3mm x 25mm screw, the two shaft pieces screw together with a 3mm x 40mm machine screw with the head cut off. I threaded the shaft pieces by slowly running in a 3mm machine screw with my small battery drill. Printing was done in PLA using a raft with no support. The handle is printer standing up and the shaft pieces were printed lying horizontally, this gives then strength in the longitudinal axis.
