Rostock Max v2 Layer Fan Mount

Description

Summary This is a layer fan designed to keep the fan close to the hot end platform because the stock layer fan mount interfered with the enclosure I made. There is no hardware to use; simply slide it over a hot end platform tab. I have an E3Dv6 on my printer and it protrudes about 5/8" below the platform tabs. I have this mount going 1/2" below the tab it mounts on at a 20° angle to the hot end. It flows a good stream of air and I keep the fan at 80% because I don't want too much air flow interfering with the nozzle's temperature. I included a step file in case you wanted to modify anything for your own setup. Print Settings Printer Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer: Rostock MAX Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .25mm Infill: 25% Notes: I recommend ABS and I had to scale to 102% due to shrinkage. I printed it as it was imported and used supports only inside the fan pocket and the overhang. I did not use supports on the interior cavity because they would have been difficult to remove. You might be able to print it on its side and just bridge over the cavity; however, the fan pocket will still need to be supported.
