Coating process: i used two coats of 2K Carpaintfiller. (poliurethane.. comes in spraycan) This stuff can add up to 2mm of coat thickness.. so printlines vanish pretty fast. but it can eat your details. For glueing a thick epoxy paste was used.. after first overall sanding (180-240grit). then i went on to sand all over with 320grit and 500grit. (depending on quality of your sanding paper you need to use water for sanding) i should have put more effort in sanding.. After the sanding.. get the dust off. Generally important for Paintjobs: Make shure no Oilspray-myst (like WD40 or PTFE spray) has been in the same room... this can severly lower the quality of your paintcoats. For best metallic effect adding about 2-3 as-light-as-possible coats of your chrome or silver(this makes shure the reflecting microparticles in the paint will lay flat on the surface.. they wont if you ad thick coats. after that tint everything with a translucent ink colour. For the intense glossyness i used a 2K glossy varnish spraycan. here i make thick coats about 2-3 layers. .. But Attention.. if you spray glossy varnish over a metallic effect paint it will get dull and ugly.
