Description
SummaryIt is a bracket that holds a dimmer and a .28" volt meter onto the Rostock max V2's melamine lid. The purpose of this is to control a 15 LED angel light ring around the hot end and have a volt meter just because. I included a version of the bracket without the volt meter if you don't want to run one. See it work here: https://youtu.be/C1I-3bAwU-UInstructionsABS or PLA will work for this part. It fits on the edge snug as is, but there are clearance holes for two 6-32 bolts if you want it to be securely mounted to the platform. Run wires from the power supply to the dimmer and the volt meter. On the dimmer output wires, run them through an aluminum extrusion to the top and run them down with the hotend wires to the lights on the hotend platform. If you are not using an LED circuit with resistors, make sure you are safe and add some between the dimmer and LED's. This allows you to control the LED's brightness and lets you have them off if you aren't in the room with the printer. I used a Supernight Aluminum dimmer I got off amazon here: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JQ437YM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Voltmeter I used, you can use a 2 wire if you want: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IWLU8YC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
