Description
Intended for 3d print.
This model pack includes a couple of different versions of the Swedish skyscraper " Karlatornet ", scheduled for completion in 2024. See detailed list below.
Detailed List: This model pack includes the following models:
- Basic model - just a depiction of the skyscraper, without additional functions. Suggested use is as scenery in tabletop wargames, or simply as a decoration to place in your bookcase.
- Pencil Holder - can hold a basic, 6-sided graphite pencil. The pencil holder is prescaled to hold a pencil that is 7mm in diameter. But I strongly suggest that you inspect and adjust the scale as needed before printing.
- Undecorated Keychain version - a skyskraper model with a keychain attached, for putting on your keyring. Keychain, text version - Same as above, but with some basic info about the building written along its side (name, height, number of floors and date of completion).
- Model with ring - the basic model, but with a small ring on its underside. Can be used for a variety of purposes.
File formats:
The models in this pack are included in both .stl and .obj format
About Karlatornet:
The name translates -roughly- to " Big Dipper Tower ". Construction began in Göteborg, Sweden in 2018, and is scheduled for completion in 2024. At the time of writing this, construction is still ongoing, but that may have changed by the time You are reading this. At 245 metres and 73 floors, once completed Karlatornet will be the tallest building in Scandinavia. Its most distinguishing features are arguably its four twisting wall sections about two thirds of the way to the top, and its four-pronged " crown ". The skyscraper is designed by the American architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, that also designed the One World Trade Center. The main contractor responsible for construction is Serneke Group AB. Karlatornet is part of a larger collection of high-rises, and will be accompanied by shorter neighboring buildings named Cassiopeja, Auriga and Virgo. Note that there are a number of substantially shorter buildings connecting to Karlatornet - these are not present in the models included in this product.
Also note: I am in no way affiliated with Serneke, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the municipality of Göteborg or anyone else involved with Karlatornet.
