Phone mount for microphone stand

Description

UPDATE: New model, a bit sturdier & including a "cold shoe" mount for a microphone, plus an adapter for a standard lavalier mic, which works pretty well as an ultra-low-cost stand-in upgrade over the built-in microphone.

Quick & dirty solution for bringing the flexibility of a boom microphone stand to bear when shooting video with a phone, with unobstructed access to the screen. Great for things like shooting over-the-shoulder, straight down over a table, or those closeup "working for the camera" shots where you look at your work through the screen.

The mount itself fits a RedMi 9T with the included protective case on. It should be easy enough to change dimensions for different phones, though - just drop the model into, say, SketchUp and pull on it as needed.

The attachment should fit most standard mic holders.

I don't recommend using it for a phone without a non-slip sleeve; the clamping force is not *that* great, so the phone might slip out, especially in portrait orientation. I may redesign for a spring or rubberband to increase clamping force - there's a reason I call it "quick & dirty".

Hole diameter fits an M6 machine bolt.
