STAR WARS MSE-6 mouse droid body for 1:24 RC Car chassis - 3D Printed by Kraig McLaughlin
Printed on New Matter's Indiegogo Mod-t Printer with standard (auto) settings after uploading to the New Matter website slicer. I had to cut the longest parts in half to fit the 4x6 print bed, but still worked great since it was assembled, model kit style anyway. Printed in silver PLA, with flat black spray paint over. Lots of irregularities and defects in my print, due to not having the printer working perfect, but they worked out in the end to give it a distressed look. I pinted it in full scale, and it is perfect for the Jakks 31" scale Star Wars big figs. I didn't have an RC chassis to build it on, but I did have a Zhu Zhu pet that had been wanting to make a mouse droid with (guess it's a hamster droid). I used the wheels, but had to make a makeshift bed to fit the de-furred hamster body. I also made a little protrusion in the front for a rod to be able to press the nose of the hamster. When he bumps into a wall it actually responds,. Also makes the Zhu Zhu hamster sounds, which are close enough to a mouse droid for me. Really adds personality.
