I studied technology in Bachellor, and for the project, I wanted to do a prostetic hand, but at the age of 17, I didn't have the knowledge or resources for that, so instead, I made a robotic hand, built with LEGO Technic pieces, moved by servos, and controlled by a simple program made with Visual Basic. Years later, in my first job, I learned about SOLIDWORKS and spent my free time practising, by designing a completely jointed hand. When I finished the hand, I continued with an arm, then a foot, and in the end a made an entire skeleton, even with moving facial features. Then, I heard about a 3d printing convention in my city, Barcelona. In my visit, I learned about some networks, dedicated to designing prosthetic hands for those who needed them, like Enablingthefuture.org I started improving my design to fullfill their standards, and printed some prototypes in FabCafe Barcelona, but in the end, I bought my own ProUp! Plus 2, which I use nowadays. I still work on my anatomic designs, but I also enjoy designing and printing items that can be used or worn by themselves.
