Step 1
Design any figure or device inspired by one or both of the Batman and Superman characters.
Step 2
Once you’ve created your masterpiece, upload it to Pinshape and make sure to check the “Submit this model to the Batman v. Superman Design Contest” box on the upload form.

- Contest closes on May 15, 2016 at 23:59:59 PST.
- Designs must be free or they will not count as valid entries and will be removed from the site.
- Entries cannot have been previously submitted to a Pinshape contest.
- Entries must comply with Pinshape’s content policy.
- Entrants must be registered with Pinshape to enter.
- There is no fee to enter the challenge.
- Entrants can submit as many unique entries as they would like.
- Contest open worldwide.
Judging
We want to reward those who upload amazing photos of their prints! That’s why we are giving away 1 license to Simplify3D and 2 rolls of IC3D filament to the best picture of a print! Pictures of prints will be judged on the following:
Creativity : 40 points
Overall design quality, uniqueness, intricacy and detailTechnical Excellence : 40 points
Ease of printing on an FDM printer, technical quality of the designPresentation : 20 points
You will be judged on the quality of the design description. This includes things like: talking about the features you want to draw attention to, mentioning what you are depicting in your design, including optimal print settings, including high-quality photos and using proper tags. ** Please note – having your model 3D printed does help to illustrate your design is printable on an FDM printer and helps with higher presentation quality. If you are a 3D designer who doesn’t have access to a 3D printer, please use this thread in our forums to reach out to a maker in the community who can print the design for you!Frequently Asked Questions
How do I enter the contest?
Create a design inspired by either Superman or Batman, or both! Upload the design to Pinshape and check the “Submit this model to Batman v. Superman Design Contest” box on the upload form.
What kind of files can I submit for the challenge?
We accept .STL, .MCX, .AMF, .3MF, .DXF, .IGES, .DWG, .STEP, .ACIS, .OBJ, .FORM, .PDF, .DOCX, .TXT and .ZIP files. You can submit up to a max of 150 files and 25 photos (this is photos of the design not files for the design). 100MB is the maximum total file size.
What happens to my design if I win?
You will keep ownership of the design and it will remain available to everyone in the Pinshape community to enjoy!
Can I submit designs I’ve made available on other sites or for other contests?
Yes you can. If it isn’t on Pinshape yet and it is something you’ve designed, it’s fair game!
Do I still own my designs when I post them?
Of course! We will never take over control of your work, we’re on your side.
When/how will the winners be announced?
The winner will be announced in the week following the end of the contest, in a post on the Pinshape blog. If you’re a winner, you’ll be contacted directly by the Pinshape team.
