A universal camera stand that is suitable for larger cameras such as DSLR and video cameras.
It incorporates a T-slot that holds a bolt which attaches the camera using the tripod mounting hole. The t-slot allows the camera to be positioned in a stable position irrespective of the camera's centre of gravity.
The range of positions is limited to +/-45deg roll and pitch in 11.25deg intervals. Print the stand upside down so that the top surface is on the bed. You will need support for the centre of the t-slot. A standard 1/4-20 UNC thread bolt, about 25mm long, is used to attach the camera. I found that a small rubber washer on the bolt between the camera and the stand made it easier to lock the camera in the desired position.
