GarageMote Hall Effect Sensor Retention Clip for Genie Pro Max 5
Free
SummaryFor the excellent GarageMote kit by LowPowerLab. http://lowpowerlab.com/garagemote/ The kit uses a hall effect sensor to know if the garage door is opened or closed for status updates. On belt drives you just velcro or glue magnets to the drive, this doesn't work great on chain drive. My Genie uses a chain drive, so I took some 1/4" neodymium cylinder magnets and set them on the links, works perfectly but I wanted something better to hold the sensors than just some duct tape. Found this works perfect, it's meant to be friction fit, should be tight so it doesn't move around.InstructionsAt this size, infill doesn't matter so solid is good. I had Slic3r generate support material for the clips, I'd recommend that.
