romanesco - fractal vegetable
Free
Summary Practice of OpenSCAD, making 3D fractal modeled by "romanesco" (cauliflower or broccoli like vegetable). Calculated by OpenSCAD (2015.02.05), scaled (x 0.5) & shifted for 3D printer bed by blender, fixed manifoldness using meshlab. The included OpenSCAD, psudo fractal (dimension 3) script is for minimum radius of trihedra (mindraw) 1mm, but be careful - it took 40 hours (on Core i7 2.9GHz, using 40GB of VM) for rendering, also 3 hours for slicing (using XYZware) and 27 hours for printing (using Da Vinci 2.0/0.1mm/slow).
