Methanol, CH4O, is the simplest alcohol: one carbon with three hydrogens and a hydroxyl (-OH) group. Six atoms, five single bonds, no rings.
This is a ball-and-stick print where every sphere has its element symbol engraved into the surface, so the carbon, the oxygen and the four hydrogens are easy to tell apart without any painting. The whole molecule is a single solid mesh, nothing to assemble or glue.
Printing notes: the STL is exported in angstroms, so scale it up 10x in your slicer (1 angstrom becomes 10 mm), otherwise it comes out tiny. Plain PLA on any FDM printer works fine. Add small supports under the bonds and the lower spheres, and a fine layer height helps the engraved letters stay sharp.
Atom positions come from a computed 3D conformer. Shared under CC BY-SA 4.0, made by MolGod.
