Ron is an experienced Internet entrepreneur who has built and launched several successful online business ventures. Since co-founding Filaments.ca in 2013 he has honed his unique skillset and continues to educate himself on the latest 3D printing materials and technologies. Mr. Rivkind is also a certified ISO quality systems auditor and as such, aims to ensure adherence to the highest quality standards possible, especially from a 3D printer filament manufacturing and service standpoint.

Eighteen years in the IT/electronics field, Ron is now retired and enjoys his hobbies and time with his family. He started learning about 3D printing about a year and a half ago and currently has two Reprap Prusa i3 printers that he built to gain a better understanding of the printing process. Ron pays close attention to detail and is a bit of a perfectionist. He is an outgoing person that will engage anyone in a conversation and share whatever knowledge and skills he can. His hobbies include 3D printing, electronics, sublimation, and screen printing. He is very excited to be a part of the Pinshape community and looks forward to helping it grow.

- Contestants can submit multiple entries for the “best print” prize, however only one entry will count towards a free roll of filament.
- The two best pictures of a print will win a Simplify3D license and a roll of filament.

How do I enter the contest?
Print a design on Pinshape and snap a great photo of your print! Upload your print to Pinshape and be sure to check the box that says “Submit this model to Filaments.ca Filament Giveaway”. Submissions for the best print will be accepted until March 31, 2016 at 11:59pm PST. The best print will win a license to Simplify3D Slicing Software ($149 USD value).
When/how will the winners be announced?
The winner will be announced in the week following the end of the contest, in a post on the Pinshape blog. If you’re a winner, you’ll be contacted directly by the Pinshape team.
