Pinshape Featured Designs – March 24th

We partnered with Lulzbot, Matterhackers, and e-NABLE to launch the Envision the Future Design Challenge. Create a tool or educational model for someone with impaired sight for the chance to win a Lulzbot Taz 6 3D Printer.

Zelda Planter – Single / Dual Extrusion Minimal Planter by FLOWALISTIK

This minimalist planter is especially timely with the release of Breath of the Wild. FLOWALISTIK designed versions for both single and dual extrusion printers and we opted to give it a go in Formlabs’ Clear Resin.

Screw Threads Test Part by Pinshape

This week, we released a tutorial on adding screw threads to your printed parts. This model helps you to practice each of the 4 different techniques and awards you with an awfully secure box at the end.

Lockable Container by Woodenclocks

This container features a fully functional lock mechanism. While it may not prove overly secure for locking up valuables, it’s an impressive display of a functional 3D Printed mechanism.

Speeder Bike & Scout Trooper by Getxoblues

Getxoblues is known for his character designs that both print and assemble easily. His newest addition, the Scout Trooper and Speeder Bike, is deceptively easy to create and makes for a great design to show off your printer.

Dog Earphone and Cable Organizer by Nate Create

Headphone holders are a popular theme on Pinshape and we especially enjoyed this clever Dog Earphone design by Nate Create.

NATURE Planter by 3d-graph

This was designed to eliminate the need for internal supports and contain your ever growing succulent collection. Remember to print with extra shells to ensure that your model is watertight! Nylon filaments are especially useful for creating watertight parts.

That’s all for this week! Print any of these designs for the MakerGeeks Print Contest to win Crystal Series PLA.
