This week we’re featuring a number of incredible props and assemblies that would make for great entries into the 3D Solutech Print Contest. Designers should also check out the Envision the Future Challenge where you can win a Lulzbot Taz 3D Printer.
We were blown away by this replica of Zelda’s Ancient Arrow by Jake Misra. Check out this Youtube video where he teaches you how to paint and assemble your own!
The newest design by Sonia Verdu is a smaller version of her winning entry into the Bike Accessory Design Contest. These are printed in one part directly on your build platform!
This Trooper Helmet first appeared in Revenge of the Sith, and Jacob did an excellent job with this design which is split into multiple pieces for ease of printing and painting.
Matt is an award winner character artist with over 20 years of experience in design and animation. Check out this print of his Retrobot on a multi-color 3D printer.
We may have missed Easter by a few but this Surprise Egg design by agepbiz still makes for an impressive print. Both the truck and egg make use of fully functional and printed hinges.
That’s all for this week! Print any of these designs for the Solutech Print Contest to win free filament!
