Boneheads S1: Wolf Skull w/ Jaw - 3DKitbash.com - 3D Printed by EeeK-Daz23

Used a raft just to make sure it stuck properly to my build plate (Heated bed at 95°C with blue tape and hairspray) Printed fine, I used Simplify3D software for all my prints. I then put it together and smoothed it out using Acetone then just painted it with a model primer, I will eventually give it a proper paint job and hide the join lines... Just need to get some more paint :| Sweet looking print :) ========================================================================================================================================================================================================== UPDATE!!! Finally got around too finishing off this print properly :) I used Multi Purpose Body Filler to hide join lines which is used to fix dents, Small holes or light damage on cars. Can get a big tin pretty cheap which would last for ages considering the little needed to finish a 3D print like this one. The filler stuck perfectly to ABS I'm not sure how it would go on PLA or other types of filament but id say it should be fine but couldn't 100% guarantee it would work. First time I've used a filler like this and can say that it dries super quick so don't mix a massive pile only to have it dry out before you have finished with it. It dries in like 5 minutes and can be sanded, drilled, cut or painted after about 20 to 30 minutes. It does stink pretty bad when mixing and applying so make sure you have plenty of ventilation. So once I applied the filler I gave it a rough sand. I didn't want it to be super smooth because I liked having a few scratches and dents showing to add a bit of character since it is a wolf skull and should look a bit weathered. (in my opinion) Once that was done i sprayed another coat of the model paint primer like in the first pics I uploaded, then once that dried I just sprayed a white coat of paint over it and let that dry at this point I was pretty happy with how it looked but I had a tin of The Army Painter branded Quickshade (strong tone) laying around so thought id give it a coat too see how it would look. Turned out pretty well I thought, once it dried I just sprayed it with a coat of matt varnish to take the shine off. Pretty happy with this first attempt to finish a print off properly :)
